My last 2 weeks in Thailand are spent in Chiang Mai, one of the 4 cities in Thailand known for its booming industry in prostitution and human trafficking. My guesthouse is located at the end of a row of bars in the red-light district. I have to literally walk past the "activity" to get to work at the after school care facility where almost 30 children come daily for refuge off of the streets...(click here for more)
We´ve been in Nicaragua for 4 weeks! God has been good to us. We are in a beautiful location. We have visited family in Esteli and Managua. We miss our children and grandchildren very much and are so thankful for Skype.
We are still settling in our temp home and will soon be moving to the Casita so many wonderful pe...ople have worked on. God provided us with a used Toyota dual cabin truck that is in very good condition. Makes it so nice to get around...(click for more)

Nicaragua is simply a beautiful country. Lying on the 13th degree latitude, the flora and fauna reminded me of Hawaii. We travelled a few hours up from the valley, where the huge city of Managua lies, up to the base of the rainforest where we met the cooler temperatures and tall canopy of trees that dripped with Spanish moss.
