This is currently my second semester at Calvary Bible College Seattle and I am very thankful to be here. I think personally one area that I have grown in the most is in public speaking. We have a class every Friday called public devotional speaking, and every week we are given a topic from the Bible to give a five minute teaching on. Missiological musings; teaching, Easter and the Nature of God.
One thing we have been learning in our Introduction to Missiology course is that we gain a better understanding of the nature of God by reading the bible with a missiological hermeneutic. That is reading the bible with the glasses of mission on. In so doing we see that God is and has always been going out of Himself towards others. He has always been ‘missional’. We see it in the revelation of His triune nature as each member in turn loves, serves, honors and glorifies the other...(click for more)
The Lord always tends to have a theme for each of my semesters at Bible College. Trust was my first, love was my second, (and then I went from Murrieta up to Seattle for my last two semesters) redemption claimed my third and sanctification would definitely have to be the main focus on my final semester.
