The Calvary Fellowship Marriage Renewal weekend at Suncadia was a tremendous success as 90 couples joined together for a time of teaching, fellowship and romance. With teaching and worship led by Brett and Kathleen Williams, couples were treated to an inspiring time focused on re-energizing their marriages.
Every Calvary retreat seems to feature its own special surprises. We were blessed to have Phil and Diana Ljunghammar join us and provide a photo studio on site to take "couples photos". Many couples took advantage of the convenient and FREE photo shoot--digital copies were sent to all those who participated.
The Saturday breakfast was another great adventure. Frank and Jeanne Carucci along with Dave and Nona Davenport checked in to their "Hospitality Suites" at Suncadia and were our designated camp cooks. The morning cook-off was an absolute treat and afforded many of the men to bring a gourmet breakfast to their rooms and provide "breakfast-in-bed".
With over 30 couples staying at the resort an extra night, Suncadia offered the group a meeting room for a Sunday Bible study. Terry Carlson led the time of worship and singing; Juergen Kneifel shared from Scripture.
Perhaps next year's retreat will eclipse 100 couples--what a nice target to consider!
